Boutique by
choice. Trusted
by design.

is a boutique technology practice based in the New York City area. Since 2006 we have built custom software, integrated systems, and stood up engineering practices for organizations that hold their software to a high standard of review — and we've started doing the same with AI.

What we get asked
in the first meeting.

Three questions buyers usually ask
01

Can we trust them with high-accountability work?

Twenty years of delivery for NYC government agencies in environments where decisions are well-documented and every change is traceable. Project success rate is 100%. The bar for "production" is set by our clients, not by us.

02

Can they staff this without dropping the ball?

Boutique by choice. The same senior practitioners who design the work also build, review, and ship it. The extended bench is people we have worked with for years, named and vetted, brought in only when the work calls for it. Continuity plans are documented at kickoff, not invented in a crisis.

03

What does year two look like?

We hand off cleanly. Documentation, knowledge transfer, and team training are deliverables. Your engineers should be able to extend the system without us in the room. The full engagement detail lives on the how we work page.

Our story

Twenty years in.

We started in 2006 with a simple idea: that custom software, built carefully and delivered with the receipts, beats off-the-shelf for the kind of organizations that cannot afford to ship sloppy work.

For two decades that has meant working closely with NYC government agencies — environments where decisions are transparent, changes are documented, and the bar for 'production' is high. Our project success rate is 100%.

In 2026 we extended the practice to AI — both in how we build software and in what we build. Same standards either way: human review surfaces, eval suites, traceable decisions, no black-box defaults.

We remain boutique by choice. Small enough that everyone touches the work; large enough to staff full delivery teams.

How we work

Four principles
01

Clients as partners.

We have always treated engagements as partnerships, not transactions. Their success and ours are the same metric.

02

Right tool for the problem.

Technology is a tool, not an identity. Java, Kotlin, .NET, TypeScript, Go, Postgres, SQL Server, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes — we use what fits.

03

Methodology follows the client.

We adapt to how your team works rather than imposing a process. Pushing methodology on unwilling participants only adds cost.

04

Human-led, AI-amplified.

Every AI feature or code we ship has a human review surface. Speed without judgment is not a service we offer.

The team

A small bench
that staffs deep.

We do not list everyone. The team is small enough that the same people who design the work also build, review, and ship it. Below are the founders you will work with directly — and the roles you will encounter on a typical engagement.

  • Architects 01
  • Business Analysts 02
  • Developers 03
  • Engineers 04
  • Project Managers 05
  • Security Specialists 06

Plus the people
we've worked
with for years.

Beyond our core team, we routinely staff engagements with a trusted network of partner firms and independent contractors — specialists we have worked alongside for years, often across multiple clients.

These are not faceless subcontractors pulled from a roster. They are people we know by name, whose work we have reviewed, and whose judgment we trust on the same terms as our own.

What buyers usually ask

Frequently asked
Q · 01

Where is your work?

Contracts and NDAs prevent us from naming most clients publicly. The case studies page documents the engagement shape at a level we can share; demos against specific systems can be arranged on request, pending client approval.

Q · 02

How do you use AI in your deliverables?

AI amplifies senior judgment; it does not replace it. Every AI feature or code we ship has a human-review surface, an evaluation harness, and a rollback path. If a decision the model makes cannot be traced to inputs and policy, it is not a deployable decision. See the AI Solution Building service for the engineering detail.

Q · 03

How do you handle our security and IT-policy requirements?

We sign your paper, work inside your access controls, and adapt to your security model. Most NYC agency work we have done operated under stricter compliance regimes than the equivalent private-sector engagement; if your environment has constraints, we have probably worked inside something similar.

Q · 04

Do you take on private-sector clients?

Yes. Our roots are in NYC government, but the same standards (transparency, traceability, human-in-the-loop) translate directly to private-sector engagements at firms holding themselves to the same bar.

Q · 05

What is your technology stack?

Java / Kotlin / Spring · C# / .NET · Go · TypeScript / React / Angular · SQL & NoSQL · Events, messages, commands · Docker / Kubernetes · AWS / Azure / GCP. Technology is a tool. We pick the right one for the problem.
